Abstract

The pathophysiological mechanisms of development of the AP by this time have not been fully understood, and treatment of patients with hypertension is often symptomatic. According to international recommendations, symptomatic therapy consists of infusion therapy, analgesics, antibiotics on indications, and treatment of organ dysfunction (artificial ventilation of lungs, hemofiltration, cardiocirculatory support, etc.). However, different countries have their own approaches, often opposite, to the treatment of patients with hypertension. The main goals of therapy in acute pancreatitis are the prevention of systemic complications of the disease, prevention of infection in the development of necrosis. Improvement of the results of treatment of severe acute pancreatitis in recent years is due not so much to the improvement of techniques of surgical intervention and intensive care, but with the development of a rational strategy for the management of these patients. A very important point was the understanding of the fact that pancreatic necrosis, even infected, is not indicative of urgent surgical intervention.
